Pattern Play
Reinforcing Stella & Dot’s luxe and socially-centered brand identity of individual style and empowerment with mix-and-match packaging design.
Client: Stella & Dot
Role: Creative Director

The Challenge
The jewelry packaging design challenge was to bring Stella & Dot’s brand ethos of personal style to life. Just as each Stylist and customer is unique, the packaging needed to reflect individuality and self-expression.
Printers were also in China, India, and the US, requiring varying paper stocks and different ink formulations across multiple continents.

The Solution & Result
The packaging system that realized Stella & Dot's brand ethos.
Inner and outer box components could be mixed and matched to suit Stylists’ preferences. Custom giftwrap-inspired and ribbon details underscored the social and celebratory nature of the brand's business model, turning every order into a personal, shareable moment that felt as special as the jewelry inside.
I worked closely with printing partners in each region to develop color standards and quality control processes that ensured brand consistency regardless of location.
The packaging system proved so successful that it is still in use today.
