Driving Growth Through Strategic Art Direction & Design

CHALLENGE

Walmart’s $2B+ eCommerce platform was growing rapidly, with aggressive revenue targets. The goal was to level up creative while driving conversion, bringing a masstige-inspired creative aesthetic to homepage, email, and performance marketing.

SOLUTION

I led a 5-person digital creative team focused on beauty and apparel, interpreting performance metrics and applying insights across homepage, category pages, and email. Our data-informed redesign of email templates not only enhanced visual storytelling and brand consistency but was also leveraged by all categories across Walmart’s eCommerce platform.

RESULT

The systems and creative frameworks we established elevated Walmart’s eCommerce brand, supporting 40% YoY revenue growth and lifting weekly email conversion rates by 0.5–0.75%. By marrying design strategy with business objectives, we enhanced the customer experience while positioning Walmart as a more aspirational yet accessible brand at scale.
